I struggle with depression, anxiety and ADHD myself. And many of my favorite people also have a mental illness. That doesn’t make us any less lovable, important, or successful. In fact we are some of the best creative problem solvers out there. And that’s why I talk openly about my own struggles and triumphs with mental health.
When I saw the amazing collections of t-shirts, hoodies, and crewneck sweatshirts at FerrisBuilt, I knew I was in love. Many of their designs are available in sizes XS-5XL too!
I’ve been wanting to get a few mental health shirts for photos and loved that unlike many others on the market, these were affordable. They were kind enough to gift me a shirt to try out! When my “Mental Health Matters” t-shirt in navy blue size 2XL arrived I couldn’t believe how soft it was!
Meet the Founder Behind FerrisBuilt

“I’m Lindsey, founder of FerrisBuilt. I live in Seattle, Washington with my identical twin daughters. I lost my business of 12 years due to Covid-19 in the spring of 2020 (an event production company) and had to find a way to pivot and make a living when the industry I worked in my entire 25+ career – closed. As a single parent, this was a bit scary to say the least!
In July 2020, I decided to pursue my creative side and see if I could turn my wood art and t-shirt designs that I’ve been doing as a “side hustle” for a few years into a success – and I thought to myself “why not now?” My motivation was to still be an entrepreneur because I enjoy that challenge, and to find a way to have a work schedule where I can prioritize my time around my kids’ schedule.
I express things that are close to my heart with my clothing, and with my wood art that I make in my woodshop. My girls are often included in the ideas and we enjoy working as a family.”
