Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion is now available to purchase. And it has been crucial to debunking diet myths and breaking down many of my own personal food issues.

Re-Writing Past Diet Experiences
In the past, I have always let fad diets and other preconceived notions of health dictate what I could and couldn’t eat. And to be honest, I always seemed to lose steam a week or two into it. And then I suffered with the guilt of giving up.
Truth was, I couldn’t continue to eat that way. I would have terrible energy crashes. I struggled to keep up with my husband on walks and hikes. And more often than not the energy crashes just led to binge eating which led to more weight gain
Sure, I lost a pound or two here and there. But, overall it just didn’t seem worth it most of the time.

Wellness Goals
When I began following the “Always Eat After 7pm” diet program a few weeks ago, I was excited to try out a diet that would give me more energy, help me lose weight, and allow me to eat carbs.
Over the next few weeks my more specific wellness goals are to:
- Have enough energy in the morning to take a long walk.
- Cook 5 Evening Meals a Week at Home.
- More consistently stick to Intermittent Fasting 16 hours on, 8 hours off.
- Feel more comfortable in my skinny jeans!
We’ve traditionally been taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.
“Having carbs in the evening is also a great weight loss strategy. When you’re active, your body burns mainly carbohydrates and muscle glycogen for energy. By eating carbs at night, you allow your body to use them to restore glycogen for energy the next day and provide your body with the glucose it needs to regulate your blood sugar levels during sleep.”

So far on the Always Eat After 7pm Plan
I’ve been happy with my first few weeks on this program. The meal plans include cheat-meals that allow me freedom. Many other diets don’t encourage this encourage. And even while sticking to the plan I can have delicious treats like the No Bake Salted Caramel Bars and the Chili Loaded Baked Potato. I have options that are tasty and satisfying.
My energy level is slowly increasing. I am starting to sleep better at night. And I don’t have a huge energy crash in the afternoon. Which is a HUGE WIN for me! My wellness goals are slowly coming together.
I like that the progress is steady. And Always Eat After 7pm focuses on redefining our previous negative thoughts and assumptions about food and eating late.
I am excited to see where the next few weeks take me. Make sure to check out Always Eat after 7pm- Debunking Diet Myths and my Interview with Joel Marion .
